Hurricane Milton Disaster Assistance Now Available

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) has announced the availability of disaster assistance for damages caused by Hurricane Milton. Residents in the currently eligible counties can apply for aid through various methods.
Individuals can visit DisasterAssistance.gov online or download the FEMA App for smartphones. For those who prefer to speak to someone directly, assistance is available by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
The eligible counties that can apply for disaster assistance include Brevard, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, DeSoto, Duval, Flagler, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Volusia Counties, and the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida.
In related news, two fuel sites have been opened in Hillsborough County. The locations are:
1. Plant City Stadium - 1810 S Park Rd., Plant City, FL 33563
2. East Bay Raceway - 6311 Burts Rd, Tampa, FL 33619
These fuel sites will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a restriction of 10 gallons per vehicle.
